Brigantines of 382 tons: possibly the later Cruiser/Cruizer (designed 1796) class and possibly Primrose (1810).

Scale: 1:48. Plan showing the lower deck for fitting brigantines of 382 tons. It is not known how many of the Brig Sloop Cruiser/Cruizer class were retrofitted with this layout when they underwent refits from 1822 to the end of their service. By 1822 there were still 48 ships of the class in active service. HMS Primrose (1810) was also a 382 ton 18-gun brig sloop still active in 1822, so this plan may equally apply to it. A number of plans refer to the Cruiser class as 'brigantines' (see ZAZ4592, ZAZ4588 and ZAZ4587).

On 29 November a copy of the plan was sent to the Royal Dockyards at Portsmouth, Plymouth, Chatham, Deptford, Woolwich and Sheerness, and another copy on 17 October 1831 to Captain Symonds [soon to be Surveyor of the Navy, 1832-1848].
