Nelson commemorative processional banner carried on three poles. It is made of blue silk painted in colours, gold and silver. In the centre is a portrait of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) - shown wearing a hat - within a border of rope twist and a laurel wreath. The banner is inscribed 'THINE ISLAND LOVES THEE WELL THOU FAMOUS MAN', 'THE GREATEST SAILOR SINCE OUR WORLD BEGAN', '1805 1905'. It has a yellow fringe, cords and tassels are attached.
