Arcadia (1888)
A 10x8 negative. A port very near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Arcadia (1888) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has three yards on her foremast and she has awnings rigged. Her upperworks are painted brown. A number of small boats are close alongside her accommodation ladder amidships and there are skiffs at moorings in the foreground. Tilbury is in the background. A copy negative of a photographic print produced from a 12x10 glass plate negative which has been broken and discarded.
