A 12x10 negative. A slightly distant starboard near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the screw tug Athlete (1893) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has five crew on board and her boat is on a painter astern. Tilbury Fort Watergate is in the background.
