A 10x8 negative. A slightly distant starboard quarter view of the passenger/cargo liner Austral (1881) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. she is as built with short funnels and yards to her fore and main masts. Lighters are alongside. Tilbury Fort is in the background.
