Bayley (1886)

A whole plate negative. On board the general cargo steamship Bayley (1886) while she is at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. The photographer is looking forward form the port side of the poop over number three hold showing the amidships boat deck, engine room skylight, base of mainmast and the two funnels. The boats have Bayley London painted on their transoms. Square rigged sailing vessels are in the river and Gravesend is on the left. Negatives numbers G1752 and G1753 were taken on the same occasion.
