Bengal (1885)
A whole plate negative. A fair quality slightly distant port very near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Bengal (1885) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. she has three yards on the foremast and is flying the blue peter. Awnings are rigged aft. Tilbury Fort is in the background. Negatives numbers G1442, G1461 and G2124 were taken on the same occasion.
