Blazer (1888)
A 12x10 negative. A starboard near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the screw tug Blazer (1888) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. Her crew are looking at the camera man and by the wheelhouse there is a woman and two children, presumably the family of the skipper. Tilbury Fort Watergate is in the background. The original 12x10 glass negative is broken and missing. A 10x8 safety film copy has been made of a photographic print made in the 1950s from the original negative before it was broken.
