Blonde (1863)
A 12x10 negative. A port broadside view of the three masted, engines aft, steam collier Blonde (1863) stopped in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She may be at anchor or moored. She is rigged as a topsail schooner. The houseflag cannot be recognised. The passenger ferries Earl of Essex (1877) and Tilbury (1883) are in the background. The jetty where the coast guard watch vessel hulk used to lie is vacant, dating this image to after June 1893.
