British King (1881)
A whole plate negative. A fair quality starboard side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner British King (1881) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has three yards on each of her fore and main masts and none on her mizzen and jigger masts. She is on charter to the New Zealand Shipping Company. The paddle tug Atlas (1853) is alongside aft. Tilbury is in the background. Negatives numbers G1746 and G2161 were taken on the same occasion.
