A whole plate negative. A poor quality starboard broadside view of the passenger/cargo liner Cathay (1872) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has two yards on her foremast, an awning is rigged aft and she is flying the blue peter. Tilbury Fort is in the background. The negative is damaged by damp.
