Cathay (1872)
A whole plate negative. A fair quality port broadside view of the passenger/cargo liner Cathay (1872) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has two yards on her foremast, awnings are rigged over the forecastle, just ahead of the bridge and aft and she is flying the blue peter. Tilbury Fort gatehouse is in the background.
