A whole plate negative. On board the passenger cruise ship Ceylon (1858) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. The photographer is on the port side of the bridge looking aft. the engine and boiler room skylights are in the foreground on either side of the mainmast. An awning is rigged aft over the poop anda crewman is on deck looking at the camera.
