China (1896)
A 12x10 negative. A fair quality slightly distant port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner China (1896) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is flying the blue peter and the pilot flag. Two tugs are alongside forward, the screw propelled Scotia (1893) being outboard of the paddle driven Cambria (1870). Tilbury Fort gatehouse is in the background.
