A 12x10 negative. A port very near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the cargo liner City of Manchester (1903) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. A screw tug in the livery of the Gamecock Steam Towing Co is alongside aft. The Tilbury Hotel is in the background. The transom of the Shoreham brigantine Gensing (1869) is on the extreme right.
