A whole plate negative. A port side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Damascus (1887) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is flying the blue peter and her midships lifeboat is swung out. A United Steam Towing Co (Ring) twin funnelled paddle tug is on the left. Tilbury is in the background.
