Duke of Buccleuch (1873)
A whole plate negative. A starboard very near broadside view, taken from only just abaft the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Duke of Buccleuch (1873) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has a four masted topsail schooner rig with two yards on the foremast and she is flying the blue peter. An unidentified steam passenger launch is in the foreground and the stern of a ketch or small schooner is on the right. Tilbury Fort is in the background. Negatives numbers G2214 and G2228 were taken on the same occasion.
