Duke of Sutherland (1873)
A whole plate negative. A fair quality starboard near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Duke of Sutherland (1873) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has two yards on her foremast. A two funnelled Watkins tug is alongside her port quarter. Tilbury is in the background. The negative has been damaged by damp in the lower left. Negatives numbers G2023 and G2212 were taken on the same occasion.
