Emperor (1867)
A whole plate negative. A slightly distant starboard side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the paddle tug Emperor (1867) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has twin funnels abaft the paddle box. A crown and crossed flags emblem is painted on the paddle box above the ship's name. Her boat is on a painter astern. Strengthening works are under way on Tilbury Fort in the background.
