A slightly distant port nearbroadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the cargo liner and livestock carrier Europe (1891) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has permanent horse or cattle stalls built onto her upper deck. A Thames Church Mission steam launch is in the foreground and a Swedish steamer owned by Angfartygs Aktieb "Thule" is on the left.
