A 12x10 negative. A slightly distant starboard side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the cargo liner European (1896) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has been fitted with horse stalls for most of her length while serving as a transport for the Boer War. An unidentified screw tug of the Ring company is alongside amidships. Tilbury is in the background. Negative number G901 is similar.
