A whole plate negative. A starboard broadside view of the passenger/cargo liner Grantully Castle (1879) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has a two yards on each of her masts and her accommodation ladder is fitted with a canvas dodger. The paddle tug Uncle Sam (1849) is alongside forward. Tilbury is in the background.
