Idaho (1898)
A 12x10 negative. A distant port very near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Idaho (1898) just under way in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is serving as the Boer War transport number 38. She is lightly laden and her wash indicates that her propeller is not fully submerged. A steam pilot launch is alongside forward and a tug is close off her starboard quarter. It is high tide and Tilbury is in the background.
