A whole plate negative. A slightly distant port near broadside view, taken from just abaft the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner India (1881) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has two yards on her foremast and awnings are rigged ahead of the bridge and over the poop. Coast Guard Watch Vessel CGWV.28 (1847) is on the Tilbury shore in the background.
