Indus (1871)
A whole plate negative. A port near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Indus (1871) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has been re-boilered and fitted with a new funnel and she has an auxiliary barque rig with three yards on each of her fore and main masts. A full set of awnings is rigged and she is flying the blue peter. Tilbury is in the background. Negatives numbers G2128, G2138 and G2143 were taken on the same occasion.
