A 12x10 negative. A starboard side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Ionic (1902) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has arrived from Belfast and is flying a pilot flag. She is to prepare for her maiden voyage to Wellington, New Zealand. A Gamecock Steam Towing Co tug is alongside forward. Tilbury Hotel is in the background.
