Kaikoura (1884)
A whole plate negative. A slightly distant starboard side view, taken from well abaft the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Kaikoura (1884) under way in Gravesend Reach, River Thames, bound down. She is barque rigged. The Sunderland collier Wear (1865), seen from wide off her starboard quarter, is under way bound down in ballast, passing the liner. A two funnelled paddle tug is on the right. Tilbury is in the background.
