A whole plate negative. A poor quality slightly distant port broadside view of the passenger/cargo steamship Ludgate Hill (1881) at anchor or moored in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has three yards on each of her fore and main masts. The forepart of the steam screw tug Storm Cock (1881) at anchor is in the foreground. Tilbury Fort Watergate is in the background.
