A 12x10 negative. A port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Lusitania (1871) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has been re-engined and is barquentine rigged with deckhouses abreast her foremast and an awning rigged aft. She is flying the blue peter and the Orient Line houseflag. The tug Vigilant (1874), seen from ahead of her port beam and with her stern out of the picture, is at anchor in the foreground. Tilbury is in the background.
