Lydian Monarch (1881)
A whole plate negative. A starboard near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Lydian Monarch (1881) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has an auxiliary sailing rig with four yards on each of her fore and main masts, comprising a course, double topsails and single topgallants. She is flying the United States courtesy flag from her foremast. Tilbury is in the background. Negatives numbers G1721 and G2322 were taken on the same occasion.
