Maine (1887)
A 12x10 negative. A distant port side view, taken from abaft the beam, of the cargo liner Maine (1887) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has some deck cargo forward. Some of her crew are on bosun's chairs painting the funnel. The screw tug Dorunda (1890) is alongside. The stern of the paddle tug Lord Warden (1868) is on the left and the bow of the paddle tug Prince (1859) is on the right. Tilbury Fort Watergate is in the background.
