A 12x10 negative cracked on one side. A distant port side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the cargo liner Manchester Merchant (1900) under way in Gravesend Reach, River Thames, bound up. She is lightly laden and is serving as a Boer War transport with the number 92 on her hull. Tilbury is in the background.
