A 12x10 negative. A slightly distant port broadside view of the passenger/cargo liner Marathon (1904) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has awnings rigged over her forward well and abaft the mainmast. The tug Simla (1898) is alongside her aft well deck. Tilbury fort gatehouse is in the background.
