Marquette (1898)
A 12x10 negative. A distant starboard very near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Marquette (1898) passing a tow line to a screw tug in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is bound out for the U.S.A. and Tilbury docks are in the background. A notice advertizing Freehold Land to be sold or let is in the right background. A laden spritsail barge is under sail on the port tack in the foreground. Negative number G992 was taken on the same occasion.
