Matatua (1904)

A 12x10 negative. A distant starboard near broadside view, taken from just abaft the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Matatua (1904) making headway in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is bound down passing Tilbury Docks and a steam launch is alongside her accommodation ladder, presumably to take off the pilot. The paddle tug Cambria (1870) is escorting close alongside her quarter and a screw tug is off her port quarter.
