A 12x10 negative. A starboard broadside view of the passenger cruise ship Midnight Sun (1874) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has six lifeboats on her starboard side, four amidships and two aft. Passengers on the foredeck of the Tilbury-Gravesend ferry Sir Walter Raleigh (1855) are in the foreground. The ferry was broken up in 1905. Tilbury is in the background.
