Newcastle City (1882)
A whole plate negative. A fair quality port near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the cargo liner Newcastle City (1882) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has four yards on her foremast. Men are working on the forecastle and on the mooring buoy. A rope ladder is hanging down amidships. Tilbury is in the background. Negatives numbers G1689, G1949 and G2200 were taken on the same occasion.
