Northumberland (1871)
A whole plate negative. A slightly distant starboard side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Northumberland (1871) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has an auxiliary barque rig with double topsails and single topgallants and has painted ports. Tilbury ferry pontoon and railway station are in the left background. Negatives numbers G1567 and G2323 were taken on the same occasion.
