A 12x10 negative. A starboard broadside view of the passenger/cargo liner Oriental (1889) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. There are a number of uniformed men on board, including a line of them on the forecastle, and they appear to be policemen. The passenger ferry Carlotta (1893) is alongside. Tilbury Fort gatehouse and the Coast Guard Watch Vessel CGWV.28 (1847) are in the background.
