A whole plate negative. A slightly distant port near broside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Patroclus (1871) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is flying her signal flags KQFC. Tilbury is in the background and the horizon is not quite level.
