A slightly distant starboard near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the cable vessel Patrol (1903) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames, prior to her first commercial positioning voyage to Singapore. Tilbury is in the background. A small piece from the top right corner of the negative is broken off and missing.
