Pericles (1908)
A 12x10 negative. A slightly distant port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Pericles (1908) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is lightly laden. A Tilbury-Gravesend ferry is uder way on the right and a spritsail stumpy barge is on the left. Tilbury Landing Stage is in the right background, Tilbury hotel is beyond the liner's bow and Tilbury docks are on the left. A rooftop sign on a building in the docks reads Rait & Gardiner and another reads Fletchers. It is low tide.
