Persia (1883)
A 12x10 negative. A slightly distant starboard broadside view of the passenger/cargo liner Persia (1883) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is fitted out as a horse transport with horse stalls occupying nearly all of her former well decks, except for a small section aft. She is Boer War transport number 54. She is still fitted with two yards on her foremast. Tilbury is in the background.
