Persian Monarch (1880)

A whole plate negative. A starboard broadside view of the passenger/cargo liner Persian Monarch (1880) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is rigged with a course and double topsails on each of the fore and main masts and no sails on the mizzen and jigger masts. Additional superstructure has been added at the stern. Tilbury Fort Watergate is in the background.
