British Army officers stretchering a wounded German soldier across the deck of the hospital ship Plassy (1901) in a French channel port. The stretcher bearers have special armbands and the officers in the background are wearing red cross armbands. The activity is taking place on the port side of the foreward deck just ahead of the superstructure. A copy negative made by the NMM studio of a photographic print.
