Rome (1881)
A 12x10 negative. A port broadside view of the passenger/cargo liner Rome (1881) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is depicted after lengthening, rebuilding the accommodation and alterations to her machinery. There are no yards on her masts. The passenger ferry Cato (1849) and an unidentified steam passenger launch are alongside her. Tilbury is in the background.
