A 12x10 negative. A slightly distant starboard side view, taken from abaft the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Ruahine (12891) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is brigantine rigged with no yards on her mainmast. She has an awning rigged aft. The passenger ferry Earl of Essex (1877), seen from abaft her starboard beam, is alongside forward. Tilbury is in the background.
