Saint Petersburg (1870)
A whole plate negative. A starboard broadside view of the passenger/cargo liner Saint Petersburg (1870) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has an auxiliary brig rig and an awning is rigged aft. An unidentified Ring paddle tug, so named because of the two white rings on her twin funnels, is alongside aft. Tilbury is in the background. Negatives numbers G1696 and G1936 were taken on the same occasion.
