Shannon (1881)
A 12x10 negative. A distant port very near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Shannon (1881) at anchor or moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is brig rigged with three yards on each mast. She has an awning rigged over her bridge area. A steam launch is alongside her accommodation ladder. The bow of the passenger steam launch Maude (1886) is on the extreme left. Tilbury is in the background.
