Sif (1902)
A 12x10 negative. A port near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the general cargo steamship Sif (1902) at anchor? in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is head to shore with her port anchor hanging from the hawse and she three lines attached to her stern, possibly leading to tugs that are out of the picture. Two men are on a staging over the side amidships with two boats containing more men close alongside. The reason for her unusual position across the stream is unknown. Tilbury Docks and Northfleet Hope are in the background.
